tobi 5d824d2698 [chore/performance] avoid serializing empty / null AS properties (#4651) ...

As it says! There's lots of places where we serialize empty arrays, default false values, or null summary props, when sending ActivityStreams objects over the wire, so this cuts down on that by skipping those if they're nil / empty.
